Discovering Iran on motorcycle is an incredible experience: amazing landscapes, wild nature, history, a sophisticated architecture and the warm-hearted people of the Dash-e-Lut desert.

Iran, also known as Persia, is one of the most friendly and welcoming countries in the world. It’s a gem of the Islamic crown.

The Dash-e-Lut is the world’s hottest desert where satellites measured unbelievable 71°C. It’s located in the south-east of Iran and National Geographic said it’s the fourth natural beauty even in august. Here we can admire the Kalouts of Shahdad, little and famous sandy hills, appearing like minarets, forming the structure of the letter U; these huge sand castles have been sculpted by strong winds over millions of years.

Thanks to Drive-to-Iran you can rent an enduro, you can drive your own motorcycle and be assisted by a local guide or there is the possibility of the transport. The journey is incredible: you’ll visit the first Kalouts resembling the Acacus mountains of Sahara, passing Gandom Beryan, a wide and dry area, where the carcases of dead animals abandoned make it spectral and even bacteria will not survive. The intense heat of the sun coming from the ground is perceptible in the fresher time but the amazing scenery makes everything bearable. There was over 400 volcano in these area and that’s why the area is covered with black volcanic rocks. You can cross the big dunes of Rig and Yalan and deep canyons accessible with moto and 4×4. We had a good experience with both the big models and the little and agile rental enduros, especially on the dunes. On the road to the Canyon of Zaban-e Mar you can admire the mountain Kuh-i Malik Mohamad, which already served as an orientation for the Austrian traveler and researcher Alfons Gabriel. It was he who gave this mountain a name.

Iran is much more. You can’t miss cities like Teheran, Yazd, Shiraz, Hamadan, Isfahan, or the archaeological sites of Takht-e-Jamshid and Naqsh-e Rostam. The country is safe, people is very kind and welcoming, good food and beautiful roads. Your journey in Iran will be adventurous, mind-blowing and unforgettable.
